We are open to any author that is from or identifies with a diaspora that relates to the following countries: Afghanistan, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Cyprus, Djibouti, Egypt, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Palestine, and Yemen. Multi-cultural, racial, and identifying M.E.N.A authors are always welcomed to submit, as the Qafiyah Review welcomes and celebrates all parts of M.E.N.A.

How to submit:

Submit all written works as a Word Document or PDF, and all visual art submissions as a high-quality PNG. Include a third-person bio, and any trigger warnings your piece may have. Feel free to add any social media handles so we may follow/promote you and your work further.

What we accept:

Poetry*: Send up to 3 poems, limited to 50 lines per poem

​Fiction*: Up to 2 pieces, limited to 3,000 words per piece

​Essays/CNF*: Up to 2 pieces, limited to 3,000 words per piece

​Visual Arts: 3 pieces of visual art (including illustration, photography, photographs of 3-D art, and more).

*Qafiyah accepts work in languages other than English as long as it includes an English translation to accompany the piece.

Rights to work:

​Qafiyah Review does not accept previously published work. Simultaneous submissions are welcomed, but please notify us via email if your piece is accepted elsewhere as soon as possible. The Qafiyah Review asks for first serial rights and non-exclusive archival rights to accepted work, and upon publication, all rights will be reverted back to the author. If you submit your piece somewhere else in the future Qafiyah asks for credit as the first publication.
